Black Cube has been formed by four ECA students with a statement to “challenge for today’s successful artists is to raise their profile, exhibit and sell their work in a highly competitive art market. We aspire to build a community of enthusiastic artists who support our initiatives.
“We want to invite art lovers and those with even a casual interest in visual art and hope to ensure an atmosphere that is both welcoming and inclusive at our events.”
From Russian born artist Svetlana Kondakova who spent four months on an artist residency in Bolivia, on a public exhibition based on the coca leaf – to the post humanist paintings of Ronald Binnie, the student founders have announced their commitment to providing opportunities for as many artists as possible.
