Artist Jason Dee discusses the concept behind his new exhibition ‘Pursuit of a Shadow’, which is currently showing at the Talbot Rice Gallery. Drawn from his work for his PhD, the exhibition invites the audience to look at film in a different way, considering the elements of analogue and digital film. The audience will be familiar with many of the clips used in the works, but the combination of the analogue material, presented through digital means, and placed in the setting of a gallery, provides a different and thought provoking experience.
