An exhibition. How the magic happens – the making of Strange Feathers, an aerial dance show by Fidget Feet and Bird and Bat.
Inspiration for this exhibition comes from the making of Strange Feathers by the Fidget Feet Aerial Dance Theatre and The Bird and the Bat Theatre Company from Iceland. Jym Daly is the co-founder and director of art and music for Fidget Feet; he is also a painter and video artist whose work focuses on magic and otherworldly characters and stories. The exhibition is collaboration between Jym, set designer Guðný Hrund Sigurðardóttir (Iceland) and costume designer Gemma Morris Kavanagh (Ireland). Using some of the themes from the show, the exhibition will combine paintings, photographs, set and costume designs, short video of the research and creating of the show in Ireland and Iceland.
From 14th October to 23rd November, Riverbank Arts Centre, Newbridge, Kildare
