Artist Julie-Ann Simpson draws inspiration from the wintry landscape of the north to create works in her latest exhibition Illuminate, in the Small Gallery of Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. These large scale paintings draw on many connotations of the sky and its visual properties.
Julie-Ann Simpson is an Aberdeen based artist and recent graduate in painting from Gray’s School of Art. Simpson aims to explore experience and imagination within her work, and convey a sensory atmosphere through synthesised materials.
Illuminate is on in the Small Gallery, Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, until the 8th May.
