Lisa Ballantyne : Robert Louis Stevenson Fellowship

Laura Clements talks to writer and awardee of the Scottish Book Trust’s Robert Louis Stevenson Fellowship, Lisa Ballantyne, about her work.

Lisa Ballantyne was born in Armadale, West Lothian and was educated at Armadale Academy and University of St Andrews. She spent most of her twenties working and living in China, returning to the UK in 2002 to work in Higher Education. Her debut novel, The Guilty One, sold into 28 territories world-wide. Her second novel will be published by Little Brown in 2015. She lives in Glasgow.

The Robert Louis Stevenson Fellowship comprises of four residencies of one month each at the Hôtel Chevillon International Arts Centre at Grez-sur-Loing in France. These take place in June, July, August and November 2014, and allow the writer to explore their work in a culturally inspiring environment. The Fellowship is open to published writers who are based in Scotland.
