Curator Deborah Jackson introduces the Talbot Rice Gallery’s newest exhibition, Counterpoint, which brings together new commissions from 8 contemporary artists who question the social role and function of art. The works on display include full-size street lamps, confetti cannons and a bowling alley and invite the viewer to explore their own ideas of technology, the future and the Scottish Referendum.

Counterpoint is on at the Talbot Rice Gallery, Edinburgh until the 18th October 2014.
