The Dovecot Studios presents a collection of work by artist Barnaby Barford. Working in ceramics, Barford takes existing objects and figurines, which are often of a sweet and sentimental nature, and alters them to create narratives, often hinting at the darker side of life. Barford is interested in exploring humanity, warts and all, but by subverting a medium the public are quite familiar with.
Barnaby Barford graduated from the Royal College of Art in 2002. He has been the subject of several solo exhibitions in the UK, and has shown in exhibitions internationally. His work is part of both public and private collections.
This exhibition is on at the Dovecot Studios, Edinburgh, until the 19th July 2014.
