M Louise Kelly was born in Newcastle but now lives in Edinburgh and mainly writes for Young Adults and children. She gave up a permanent position lecturing in psychology and linguistics to dedicate more time to her writing. She has a varied career: writing fiction; working as publicist for author Nicola Morgan; teaching neuropsychology for the Open University and being a university Dyslexia Adviser. She was recently long listed for the Cornerstones Wow Factor prize for unpublished novels.
