Laura Clements talks to South African author Lauren Beukes about her event with Russian author Mikhail Shishkin, discussing the novel as time machine. Both authors are considered to be very different in terms of style and work, but have been brought together with a common thread such as the subject of time travel, which they both explore in their books.

Lauren Beukes is an award-winning, best-selling novelist who also writes comics, screenplays, TV shows and occasionally journalism.
