Errol Rivera interviews crime writer Denise Mina about the various roles she will be playing throughout her time at the Edinburgh International Book Festival, including her work with the World Writer’s Conference.
Whilst researching her PhD thesis on the ascription of mental illness to female offenders, Denise wrote her first book, Gamethill. The book won the Crime Writers’ Association John Creasy Dagger award for best first crime novel, and two more books followed to complete the trilogy.
